With China taking a more active role in international politics, a strong growth economy and its desire of being a major force in the world economy by being part of the World Trade Organization (WTO), China is progressively creating a positive investment environment for foreign & private participants. The recognition of private ownership written into the constitution is a major step forward. CEPA agreement between Hong Kong and China will also provide Hong Kong's company an extra edge in trade benefits over companies from other countries.
As such, there is no denying the potential of the healthcare market in China, particularly when central government wishes to introduce major reform to correct and address the current ills within the healthcare industry.
